Let’s Move! Child Care (LMCC) is part of a National Let’s Move! initiative to prevent childhood obesity. LMCC encourages and supports child care and early education providers to make positive changes in their programs in order to work toward a healthier future for children. LMCC is voluntary and for all types of programs: family child care homes, centers, Early Head Start and Head Start programs, preschool, tribal programs and faith-based programs.
As a child care provider you are in a unique role to help prevent childhood obesity. Children spend many hours in early care and education programs, as well as family child care. Help kids build good habits by ensuring your program is a healthy environment for children to learn.

Let’s Move! Child Care encourages you to meet these best practice goals:

LMCC Goals

Providers who fully meet these best practices are rewarded with a certificate of completion and featured on a map of recognized providers.

Find out if you’re meeting LMCC’s best practice goals by visiting the LMCC Website and taking the checklist quiz.
