Indoor air quality is affected by the presence of solids, liquids, or gases in amounts that are injurious or detrimental to man, pets, plants, or property. In fact, indoor air may be more seriously polluted than outdoor air, making indoor air quality a health concern.
Common indoor air quality issues include radon, mold, formaldehyde, second hand smoke, and asbestos.
Public Health Idaho North Central District provides the following services to help reduce exposure to common indoor pollutants:
- Respond to requests for assistance in indoor air quality issues.
- Assist in addressing health issues.
- Assist in identifying options for remediation of indoor air quality issues.
- Radon education.
- Brochures and information handouts.
