LEWISTON, IDAHO - Public Health - Idaho North Central District will offer H1N1 flu vaccine from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 to everyone over 6 months of age.
“We are pleased to announce that an increase in the amount of vaccine available allows us to offer the vaccine to all of those individuals who wish to have it.” said Candi Barton, Community Health Director.
While the vaccination clinic is open to everyone over 6 months of age, Public Health especially encourages anyone falling in the following groups to be vaccinated:
- Pregnant women;
- People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age;
- Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel;
- Persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years of age; and
- People ages 25 through 64 years of age who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
