Children's Services

Children's Services

Public Health is committed to improving the health of children in our five-county district. Most of the programs for children are community partner based and we work with other agencies in order to give your child the best available care.

Children’s Special Health Program (CSHP)

Children’s Special Health Program (CSHP)

CSHP provides diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation service to children with specific medical diagnoses. In addition to a specific diagnosis, eligibility is also determined by family income. The family can not have insurance or Medicaid and must be low income to be eligible.

Children who are 0-18 years of age with diagnoses that can be categorized under burn, cardiac, cleft lip/cleft palate, craniofacial, cystic fibrosis, neurological, orthopedic or plastic surgery are eligible for this program.

Currently, Public Health Idaho North Central District no longer provides direct nursing and case management services for local CSHP children. All CSHP eligible children can receive at the Children’s Special Health Program at 208-334-4993. Learn more about Children's Special Health Program.

Immunizations for children and adults are provided at minimal cost. Travel Vaccinations for travelers are also available.
